I doubt they would turn Down  help from MS..If it were to happen

It's possible.

Here is why I hope this is true:

A. More people will get to play a good game.
B. PS3 fanboys will stop acting like the game is the best game of all time.
C. Konami will get more money.
D. Microsoft steals the PS3's best exclusive w/ extra content, and pulls off a megaton.
E. Smashed. Poster here. Eats words, amongst others.

That said, rumors are rumors, ect.

That was the failure of PS3 owners and marketing, don't assume that it will be the case in all scenerios.

Here's why it's not true.

A. It was posted on a random twitter page made 4 days ago.

B. It's called GameFork, they don't even have a website.

C. Most likely some kid on the internet thriving for attention, probably from N4G.

D. There's not even Forza 3 on the "leaked" list, already there you know its fake.

E. You don't just come out of the blue and walk into a microsoft office getting leaked info that easily.

even Square Enix will be announcing Front Mission Exclusive for xbox 360, with declined ps3 sales ww this is understandable.

Nothing even close to "megaton" IMO :P

If this is all MS have for E3, they aren't going to have a great show...

Kojima said that MGS4 is never going to be on the 360. Now unless he is playing with words (Ninja Gaiden II is not coming to the PS3 but NGSII is), then the rumor is true. It would suck, but I wouldn't be surprise if Kojima broke down and went for the money.  Source: MGSII

I hope it does go multi-platform, but is this really the huge megaton that people are making it out to be? Getting a remake of a game that has been out for over a year and a half? I would rather see them announce something new.

I disagree. While I feel that lately many PS3 fanboys have been trying to downplay the possibility of losing this exclusive, it is still the best reason to own a PS3, and Sony losing it should not be taken lightly.

It wouldn't be a huge announcement in a purely fiscal sense. Neither was the FFXIII thing.

However, in the minds of people who haven't yet chosen a PS3 or 360, the MGS4 announcement for the 360 would be very influential, I would imagine.

There is also the epic ownage to consider, of most PS3 fanboys. They have said for a long time, that the game was impossible on the 360, and that indeed the game would factually never come to the console. Just proving those absolutes wrong would be well worth my time at the conference.

Reasoning it out, I don't think there could be a bigger predictable anouncement from Microsoft, than the acquisition of the PS3's biggest exclusive. For predetermined fans and current gen console owners, it means nothing(unless they are 360 fans, in which case, the news is huge). PS3 fans already have many traps set up over the past few months they set in order to marginalize the news("I played it a year ago" "MS paid for this!?" ect.) However, despite that, it is still the loss of the best current exclusive title on the Playstation 3, to multiplat status, and a major talking point for the console completely gone. Future console purchasers(the only ones that matter in the userbase war, no?) are influenced by this announcement.

How is that not a megaton, you tell me?

I mean, imagine the shitstorm if Gears 1 and 2 came out this December on a single BR, for the PS3. Same thing. It just wouldn't be as expected.

Losing Verses wouldn't be nearly as impressive as MGS4. It's just not a high profile game.
