We don't get study leave (A-levels). Our school thinks it's better to stay in and do revision in class. Then after all of the exams are done we start doing next year's course and go to university open days.

One week until my first exam.

really? I thought they had to give you study leave. You will probably get a few days off before your exams anyway though unless your first exam is right on the day that they start. My first exam is the 1st of June

No, we don't get a single day. If there are rules, we don't have to follow them as we are an academy (i.e. state funded but they have little control over us).

I think it's a good thing though - we'll still be doing the Physics course right up to the day of the exam.

Well that sucks. But I know what you mean, deep down I know that it would be a lot better to stay in lessons and be taught by the people who practically know what will be in the exam rather than myself.

I actually like sixth form now (bar a couple of teachers) so I won't be relluctant to drop in for some study sessions.

Yes. It works even better for people who are predicted Ds and Es - yet they're the ones who usually complain about the lack of study leave. It was funny but depressing in January when the results came back and the people who were meant to get As and Bs got Es and Us - but those people don't seem to be putting extra work in this time.

What we've mainly been doing in the extra lessons is 10 or so past papers with teacher help if required. It ought not to be, but doing that earns many more additional marks in an exam than spending the same time revising.

june 22 we had six snow days

June 5th, the last week is just going to school and leaving at 12 30, so might as well end it june 2nd.
