Forums - Nintendo - Yaho and the Ha-Ha HD Wii article

I'm wondering if that would be possible with a dongle. Like a little thing you plug in to the signal out port, select "1080p/1080i/720p" on the dongle, then it would automatically upscale to the selected resolution.

Easier than putting out expensive, pointless hardware.

How would that be different than the TV hardware doing the upscaling of the signal? It's still upscaling of a 2d image, frame by frame.

Better texture filtering on the other hand would be a 3d rendering engine operation, you can't do that with frame by frame postprocessing.

@Nes

That's because the emulator does not upscale, it renders the game at a higher resolution.

Patcher's a moron. I hope Malstrom gets on this.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

I predict this generation will take longer more because it will be too expensive for Sony and Microsoft, unless they go with lower cost systems, and Nintendo will want to make sure their system works just right.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

The world may never know...

I don't know but it takes 12809 licks to get to the center of an iphone...

I don't see Nintendo doing it next year... but I am even less qualified than Pachter.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I know Nintendo will not do it and I am a hell of a lot more qualified than Pachter

93.4% of VGC members are more qualifying.
