well if cross edge - atelier rorona - trinity universe - white knight - and new rpg made by hitmaker makes it out this year ps3 is on a winner in jrpg`s

i wouldnt mind playing tears to tiara it looks good.

Hell, it's better than the piece of absolute crap that these publishers call JRPG support this generation.

NIS makes the most hilarious and entertaining RPGs around.  Their track record is phenominal.

So far, Disgaea 3 is the best RPG this gen.

I can only hope it's NIS developed and not just published.

I agree. Only I'd put Valkyria Chronicles up there with it as well.

Yeah, I feel the same. I'd rather have these "PS2 quality" games than the lack of JRPGs all consoles experience.

Yeah.  I mean putting a "PS3" level quality game on the PS3 would probably be a bad thing.  (Graphics wise.)

give me 2-3 games with PS2 level graphics instead of 1 with PS3 level graphics.

I hate to be a snob but if graphics are what you care about in your JRPGs.... why not play games with more limited enviroments that can make the graphics look better?

Maybe it's just me... but if the gameplay is fun and the story is good.  I'd happily buy a game that had SNES sprites for all it's characters Final Fantasy style.
