I don't see the problem with that. Coca plants are legal in Bolivia and they have lots of uses (like for example, they combat the effects that you get for being in a place so high). What's the porblem with it? If he wants to do the experience with a friend, I don't see why he shouldn't

Having sex with 14 year old boys is legal in some places too....

I'm fine with him doing it but the "It's acceptable in other countries" angle doesn't fly.

But harvesting coca is totally acceptable, unlike having sex with 14 y.o. boys. It's not like he'll refine cocaine. Cocaine is one of the many uses of coca.

Is it perfectly acceptable... in this country?  I mean in some countries it is perfectly acceptable to have sex with 14 year olds.  Or at least was in different parts of history.

I mean if he went to a country that allowed slavery would it be acceptable for him to have slaves for his time there?

In reality this just shouldn't be a big deal because cocaine shouldn't be a big deal.

Its legal in the us for a select few companies to make medical products from the leaves.

De-cocainized leaf extracts are approved by the FDA for use as a flavouring agent.

Not the argument he was making though.  Just because your in a different country it doesn't make something you do more or less right.  Whether something you do is "right" or not is universal.

No, you didn't get what I said. The point I was making is that I don't see why him harvesting coca should be news IN ANY PLACE.

The source site is run by someone who is obviously insane.

Fair enough.  It seemed like it being legal in Bolivia was your starting point.. when it's really a nonfactor.
