Forums - Gaming - Capcom's community manager Seth Killian mentioned that the release of Marvel vs. Capcom

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on PSN and XBLA have nothing to do with "Marvel vs. Capcom 3". Killian said "What we're hoping is that if people get really juiced about this title, and we can show Marvel that there's a lot of heat behind this, then they'll open up the door for us to do something with '3,' which is something we'd love to do." For now, licensing issues are preventing further developments. (Source: Joystiq.com)

Come on marvel be nice and give me a video game I want to play

I don't know if getting infinited in online play repeatedly is going to make me want to buy Marvel vs Capcom 3.

I am going to buy this! I'm not really interested in a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 re-release, but if it could potentially result in MVC3...I'm there.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

Hmm, I've had this theory for a few months now that Capcom will release Marvel Vs Capcom 3. First they release tatsunoko vs capcom on the wii, a cross up fighter in the same vein as both Marvel vs Capcom games. Then, they said that another Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is not completely out of the question (old IGN interview, don't have link). Finally, denying it for a long time, they announce Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for PSN. This all can't just be a coincidence. Bonus : There will be 2 mystery games at E3...

Sounds like another one of Capcom's "tests." This is the same type of thing they did with the Wii. They asked Wii owners to support RE4 Wii and Umbrella Chronicles to show that there is a market for the franchise on the platform. Wii owners bought both of those games and Capcom was nice enough to unveil a high budget, internally developed, RE game for Wii...oh wait they outsourced another rail shooter to Cavia. Never mind, nothing to see here folks.

this is cool. i oved the game and i cant wait for this.

Hopefully it will be successful so that Capcom brings M vs C multiplatform.I really dig the art style of this games.

Kind of like how they released both SFIV and SF-HD.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Don't expect anything from modern Marvel. They'll take one of their most important characters and kill them and then make up some bullcrap and start writing books about villians replacing the character you were reading in a title with someone else and run out of ideas so just make 'young' versions of all their already existing characters.

Hmm, pie.
