Forums - Sony - Ben Dutka ps3news says Where Did All The PS3 Hate Go?

Jordahn said:
I think Ben has proven his point by the obviously reactions from the majority of responses so far. The man is not perfect, but neither are you guys who are cherry picking his points ONLY when it suit your denial. The main point of his article are the "doom-and-gloom claims from the early days of the PlayStation 3" which have been proven untrue with the continual success of the PS3 for the past two and a half years. I also disagree that the PS3 will past 360 sales because I just don't see it happening. But to take this point and to discredit the truth he speak is the epotime of the denial of the growing success, support, and offering of the PS3. Do any of you think that the doom-and-gloom of the PS3 as a viable gaming platform is applicable? If you do, you are either in denial or just ignorant. The doom-and-gloom crowd are the ones Ben is calling out. And it's very obvious that they have responded because they would rather see the console industry without a PS3. But then again, those people probably aren't gamers to begin with because they put their hatred for a console/company before the love of gaming. Oh, and just to let everyone know, I was playing 4 player split screen Halo 3 just last night, and it was awesome and always was!

:)

The doom and gloom just changed form. Sony swallowed massive losses to get to this position, and we get to take a peek at their financials in a weeks time.

"Sony swallowed massive losses to get to this position" If the 360 was released when it was ready, as opposed to being rushed ahead of the ps3, then it would have neither the market share, nor the notoriety that has come with RRoD/E74. It can very easily be argued that MS swallowed massive losses to get to this position, as well.

^ The main difference, is they didn't also lost 2/3rds of their market share.

And 3/4 of their exclusives

Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.

Well, sure, that would be an easy argument for a retarded person to make, since profit is the opposite of loss.

*shakes head in astonishment at fanboyism*

No, I was the guy talking shit about Infamous.

haven't you heard CGI? GoW3 is coming on the 360, Kratos is no longer a Sony kabana Monkey, neither is Drake (uncharted 2) or Hale when Resistance 3 appears on the 360.

They (SONY) are holding on to Snake for dear life but just you wait till E3.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Wow... So, this guy from "IlovePS3dotnet" is buying into the "Sony can outsell Microsoft by the 125,000 units a month for the next five years, starting today" lunacy necesarry to believe they can make up for a nearly 9m unit deficit.

How shocking.

PS3 isn't going to put Sony out of business or anything, but all things considered, this generation was an epic fail for them. They took their lumps and should learn some things that will hoepfully bring us great things next gen.

The 360 and the Wii had their share of failures this gen. The Wii is a horrible 3rd party software seller considering its install base, HD-DVD was crucified not long after BluRay dropped, RROD is still rearing it's ugly head, along with other 360 technical issues, 360 JRPG support is pretty much a no go, and the list goes on and on. Sony is doing great considering its price and competition.

Ummm...  what did that have to do with anything in my post?

Despite my confusion, I'll comment: Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant, Tales of Vesperia, that "Bach is dead and dreaming" game (that thing had to be Japanese...), FFXIII...  There's a ludicrous f*ckton of JRPG games for 360.  What are you on about?

Also: "Sony is doing great considering its competition" as a follow up to "look at everything wrong with their competition" makes me wonder "why are they still such a distant third?"

It was Eternal Sonata, and it was Chopin. Know your classical composers...lolOT: Where is the link in the original post?? How do us posters on the forum know that this is a reliable source or that the poster of the article was the one who wrote it?
