Forums - Nintendo - If the Gold/Silver remake rumors are true, which version will you buy?

Why are people so hyped at the possibility of these remakes?

Ive only played Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Platinum, but to me they were the exact same game. Slightly better graphics, and a slightly different (but no more relevant) story.
I felt that everything else including the battles and general progression through the game was the same.

So what exactly would make a remake of these games better? What could they possibly change in them to make them any different from the originals?

Well, I don't really know why I would get it, but I would. I own Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, and Sapphire. I want Fire Red and Leaf Green, despite those being remakes of R/B and older games, and I wouldn't mind having the DS games, if I had a DS. Game Freak sure makes a ton of money from me. =D

Silver, like I originally had.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Same with me. I told myself that I was done with the series after I bought Sapphire, but I still ended up buying Pearl. Then when I traded in Pearl, I told myself yet again that I was done with the series, but I think that I'll be buying this game.

As much as I'm tired of playing the same game over and over again, I just...have to do it. R/S/D/P have not had even close to the same impact that R/B/G/S had on me, but every time a new game is released, I feel left out when I try to ignore it, only to be dissapointed yet again after I inevitably buy it.

GameFreak screwed me over.

I know, I loved the Gameboy ones so much more. The GBA ones weren't my favorites, but they kept me busy. I guess I want the remakes since I loved R/B and G/S so much. I might just have to buy a DS if this rumor is true. Might.

I'll buy Silver first (assuming it's remade for DS) as I had Silver for GBC. But I might get both in the end depending on how I feel. Trying not to give money away at the moment but it's nice to have a perminent save and one to reset.
