Who the hell wants to wait untill 2009 to get their gaming on. This to me sounds like the whole Wii is going be a distant third crap we heard before it was out. Bottomline is nobody truly knows how things will be in 2009 but we can clearly see right now the Wii and 360 are ahead by twice a much as the PS3 if we are to believe vgchartz. Unless the Wii and 360 start selling ZERO I don't see how the PS3 can all of sudden make up for not just 2007 but all of 2008 since they don't expect the ps3 to get going untill 2009. Is ALL about the games not the hardware that gamers truly care about. Would the Wii have sold as well wihtout Wii Sports or Wii Play etc with just the likes of zelda for christmas? I mean is not like the gamecube didn't have the mario's, zelda's, metroids but wii sports is what really sets the Wii apart complimented by the motion controls. Games lead to hardware sales and that is exactly what the 360 and Wii have starting this holiday season and beyond. If for some reason games stopped being made for the Wii and 360 then I would change my forecast but with such good installed based I highly doubt it.

Besides, the reason for lots of people buying the PS3 in Europe is the BluRay player.
In that, Sony was successful. But because of that, I can't see the PS3 "winning" by having the most software sales, as a lot of people will use it mostly as a BD.
If it was not for the BluRay player and no region lock on PS3 games, I know I could not justify paying 500 € (as I WILL wait for a price drop like most people) for a console, even having 3 games I want already released for it.

And it seems it burns the mouth of DFC to admit that the growth in videogame sales is entirely due to Nintendo and their DS and Wii.
