I just have the first season on DVD and never get the chance to watch the current one. I got into the show late and I don't want to tune in with no clue of whats going on with the season.

Season 2 ends next week, so you'll have tonnes of time to catch up.

The episode was called 'Hail to the Geek'. As usual, it involves a humourous scene involving Sheldon's social ackwardness.

I wouldn't say funny... so much as sensible.  I mean.  I don't think anyone had a Neo Geo or Gamecube on a tv show either.

What's funny is how they use sound effects from like... the 16 bit era if not earlier.

 

GameCube made appearances in My Wife and Kids, Reba, and the movie Cheaper By The Dozen (in that guy's apartment, it can be seen when he is fauning over his commercial)

 

Nintendo 64 made an appearance in Office Space when Samir, Michael, and Peter were partying in Peter's apartment.

Wii also made an appearance in Iron Man when Tony Stark was watching that news report. It could be seen directly under the tv.

Xbox 360 was in Transformers when the all spark was going insane and turned that car into a transformer. The 360 turned into a transformer as well. and the 360 appeared in Diehard 4 when the guy is playing Gears of War in the beginning of themovie.
