I don't think you realize how often people think a Sony owned IP will be multiplatform due to recent events with other 3rd party studios. I have seen customers come in all the time asking when will Uncharted, God of War, etc be coming to 360. Oh how I love crushing their hopes(I'm sorry, I do. I just feel this is the sort of thing gamers should know before buying something. RESEARCH ppl). Only problem PS3 has that's MAJOR, is it's price. You're multiplat talk is just YOUR personal bias judging by your post history.

 

Resident evil 5 is the most recent big multiplat and it looks (textures) and plays better (frame rate) on 360, the multiplatform superiorty on the 360 is still a reality.

I want the best version.

And Bioshock doesnt even look better on either system, but the PS3 version came with some sort of bonus content. And any tiny graphical difference shouldn't be enough to sway someone's vote either way.

You say pricing on games is an edge? So because PS3 games are built to last with them virtually unphasable, unscratchable, practically invincible that it is inferior? THATS why PS3 games stay at a higher price point. It is because the bluray discs ALWAYS look brand new, no scratchs, or fear of the game not working do to damage.

What I meant was due to FFXIII, DMC4, GTAIV, and Tekken6 going Multiplatform, many unknowledgable gamers simply think any and every game that is on a Sony platform will jump ship or will go MP. They never even considered that some games are owned by Sony so they can't go elsewhere. If they did know this they would know some of the biggest franchises known to date require that they have a PS3(Gran Turismo, KZ2, ICO games, God of War,etc)

So what studios that work with Sony, that they don't own, would you consider 3rd Party?

 

I always thought it went this way..

First Party: games made by the Console Manufacturer

Second Party: games made By Studios owned by the Console manufacturer and/or under Disclosed contracts to Independent Studios for Development on a IP owned By the Contractor which is the same as the console manufacturer.

Third Party; Games Made by companies not linked or under contract to the Console maker Including console Exclusive games

The Games you Mentioned are not Owned by Sony...And yes DMC was only on PS2 before part 4 but is owned By Capcom and Published By Capcom...and the same applies to the other tittles...

Dude, I have both versions, and have beaten both versions the differences ARE NOT big at all. Nice try though...

 

The differences are big enough to me the 360 version got more detailed and more colorful textures and the ps3 have some frame rate issues, I seen both games and the 360 is superior, sorry.

@CGI, this pamphlet is talking about multi-plats only. If you look at my post history, you would notice I was a huge Sony fan, but lately they have been disappointing me. FFXIII going to 360 was the last straw. No JRPGs, inferior multiplats, no DLCs, etc, I couldn't take it anymore. I'm buying my multiplats for the 360. Only a very few will be for PS3.
