no offense i'm just asking..i look at youtube and i keep seeing alot of wapanese americans and europeans..

do other asian cultures not interest you in anyway?

Korean culture? You mean playing Starcraft till we keel over and watching inferior animation?

As much as I like Japanese culture I also like Chinese culture since I'm a pretty huge fan of martial arts films and I also thing that Korean culture is pretty cool.

The Host is still one of my favorite films of this decade and that was made by Koreans. It only cost $11 million to make and is better then a lot of western movies that have/had a $100 million or higher budget.

If you want to watch another good Korean movie, check out Oldboy, one of my favourites.

That also applies to several hundred Western films that cost less than $11 million to make.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

@rocketpig That's true their are many western films that cost less then $25 million to make that I enjoyed a lot more then most big budget movies also. Like any movie that was directed by Clint Eastwood, Glory, Borat, Superbad, Slumdog Millionaire, American History X, Fargo, Reservoir Dogs etc. etc.

A few cheaply-made American movies as of late:

Obsessed - $20m
Paul Blart: Mall Cop - $26m
Gran Torino - $33m
Slumdog Millionaire - $15m
The Wrestler - $6m

And my favorite: Fireproof
$500,000 budget. $33.4m box office cume, and massive DVD sales.

There are plenty of non-blockbuster movies made in the US on the cheap. Once Upon a Time in Mexico was a great example - $29m budget with a big-name cast.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Differences in culture and curiosity for anime. On a deeper note, WWII and the aftermath thereof. Both Japan and SK are Americanized but the Japanese have a different mindset to outside countries of influence.
