Forums - Sony - Rumor: New Sony Motion

Personally as long as they make real games iam fine with that crap.

If waggle shovelware funds more Uncharted and Gow games then i'am all for it. But if they force that bs on games like Gran Turismo and God of War then they can go fuk themslefs.

If it was true, I would roll my eyes, call Sony foolish, and try to forget it exists.

If I wanted motion control, I would have bought the Wii. This is about as likely to bring in possible Wii-buyers as LittleBigPlanet.

Fixed for you again

So BS it is.   An analog stick can move quickly from one side of the screen to the other,  it just takes a quick flick of my thumb.   You keep saying instantly like the Wiimote can do it without even moving, when itn fact you have to move your wrist to do it.  Probably the same distance I have to move my thumb on the analog stick.

Again, if this was such an obvious advantage, then why arent the hardcore FPS gamers on the Wii and why arent there more FPS games on the Wii.  BECAUSE IT IS BS.

See we can both do that.

By all means stay closed off to Fantasy.  Most console FPS gamers (including you) are part of the "old guard" of gaming and will always resist change at every step.  By your logic why aren't all FPS console gamers playing FPS on computer, or are you going to tell me that dual-analog is better than mouse/keyboard also?  Anyone that has had experience playing all 3 types of inputs can easily tell you that dual-analog is not the pinnacle of control in FPS's.  If PS3 had launched with a pointer device and not dual analog we wouldn't even be having this conversation.  One day you'll take off your tinted glasses.  I'm now finished having a futile "conversation" with you.

A gimmick is not changing the way I play video games,   the main reason why all console FPS gamers are playing on PC is cost, it costs alot of money to have a gaming PC, and to keep it updated to play the latest games.  Whereas consoles are a one time cost.  But I do think that more an more FPS games on consoles are going to integrate keyboard and mouse systems like UT3 did.

I have had experience with your so-called pinnacle of FPS control systems and the Wiimote sucks for them.  The keyboard and mouse combo is the best followed by the dual analog setup.

If the Wii released with a real controller, a hard drive, good games and was in HD every gamer in the world would bow to its superiority and not call it a gimmick like it is today.   See I can do hypothetical situations also.

One day you will take off your Nintendo Fanboy glasses and see that everything that Nintendo does isnt the holy grail of gaming.

I have an xbox 360 and  Wii.  I appreciate all 3 consoles, just as I appreciate improvements being made to my hobby.  Motion control is gimmicky atm, but the pointer is not.  It is sad that you'll never appreciate anything that's not on your favorite plastic box.

So having an Xbox 360 and a Wii make you less biased?    I also appreciate improvements in my hobby, but the Wiimote is not one of them.

Did I make you cry because I dont like like your favorite plastic box?

I use and enjoy both types of controllers and that definitely makes me less biased.

Once again I hope your maturity level is not a representation of ps3 owners.

So because I have used all types of controllers for this gen, and I hate the one that you love makes me biased?

Dont question my maturity level, just because I disagreed with you because you tried to present your opinion as fact.  Its the same BS from all you Wii fans.  The minute someone doesnt like the the Wii or its controller, we are immature and dont know anything about gaming.

Wouldn't the Wii remote be over sensitive then?

No. It's as sensitive as you are. It's a natural movement. About as natural as aiming a real gun.

I think that you think that you are an excellent FPS player on the Wii, because you play crap players. Lets be honest, there is far more better players on shooting games on the PS360. Then, since you think you own you think the Wiimote is the sex. Has anyone reached 10th Prestige in COD WaW on the Wii yet?

It has nothing to do with online. It has to do with the controls. Does a game control different when it's played online? And what makes you think that wii players are crap? So your saying that just because PS360 has more FPS than wii players are crap?  What kind of logic is that? It's bias logic.

I'l feel fine, because I wont have to use motion controls as Sony will give me the option.

EXACTLY!  Sony FTW!

I still think that Twilight Princess could be one of my favorite games ever if the Wii Mote didn't destroy the experience...why, Nintendo? WHY!?  Some things just shouldn't be 'forced'..but I guess what Nintendo 'forced' on us made us buy some 40 million of them, so I see why they wouldn't care about my opinion.  Oh well!

That is a poor excuse,  it is in its 3rd year now.  If the controls were as good as you claim it is, then developers would be jumping at the chance to put FPS games on it.  Plus in reviews, why doesnt the reviewer say that the games control better on the Wii then the dual analog setups on the HD twins?   If it was far superior as you say it is you would think that the reviewers would be able to pick up on that and point it out.

A poor excuse for what?? Just because the wii doesn't have 200 shooters doesn't mean that the wii mote is bad for the that type of game. Nintendo consoles have never had a lot of shooters. If you were shooting a real gun, would rather have the gun in your hands or would you rather use two analogs to control a robotic arm?

I wouldn't say Wii players are crap @ FPS, there just aren't nearly as many good players as on the PS360.  I know a few Wii owners who are great at FPS...but he's right when he says the majority of the games and their followers are on the HD consoles, so there's undoubtedly much better competition on those consoles than the Wii.  This is nothing against the Wii or Wii players - as I said, some of you might be really good.  It's just a fact from a demographic standpoint.

the better question is how are you going to feel when the ps3 is more superior then the Wii in every way?

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

If I was shooting a real gun, I would have a real gun in my hand not a Wiimote.   If I want to play FPS games then it would be mouse/keyboard,  then dual analog.  The wiimote may be good for other types of games but, IMO its not for FPS games.  I have tried and it was terrible control scheme.
