No, I didn't say that. This is a very niche game, and the move to make the asian version in english was on purpose. Those who this game appeals to know about it and are able to buy it, region free and in english.

As we've seen before internet recognition and hype doesn't translate to sales, and the number of people this game appeals to is small. In fact, outside a relatively small group of internet gaming forum-goers, this game might as well not exist.

So while it may see a western release, I wouldn't count it, nor would I want to wait to play this gem based on some hope that it'll be released here. It's heavily backordered online, so if you want a copy you might want to get in line as there's a ~1 month wait right now and according to NCSX, production of the game is on a by-order basis, meaning Sony Asia is only making what retailers order. There is also a clause in the online EULA that they reserve the right to shut down the online servers anytime after September. You can color me suprised at E3 if Sony talks about Demon's Souls, let alone points towards a western release.

Why? To be sent to die on the shelves? It has no way of competing against WKC or any other high profile RPG.

don't forget Bumpy Trott 2 - I know it's been a while since we last heard of it (and the last trailer was still with it's PS2 engine), but afaik it's really stil in developement

Well that's a matter of opinion but i understand your point. For me though, I don't think WKC will sell well in NA. For the NA demographic, the average gamer goes in and see's Demons Souls and WKC next to it. I think they would choose Demons Souls over it. It's more of a western RPG and JRPG's haven't been selling that well this Gen. Call me crazy but i think Demons Souls could become a cult hit in NA. (if released there)

eh? I thought he asked for PS3 JRPG's. If I can recall Infinite Undiscovery is 360-only at the time.
