Yeah... campaign doesnt really hook me, unless its with three mates trying to finish one of the campaigns on expert. that can take hours. Youve only done 1 out of 4 campaigns by the sound of it, too.

In my opinion versus is what keeps you coming back. incase you werent away you take turns playing infected (boomer/smoker/hunter/tank) and survivor. Playing as a hunter or smoker is just awesome fun, it never gets old in my opinion. It is awesome fun playing with friends too, and setting up an ambush as infected, where you smoker someone off a ledge and pounce the other guy with a hunter or whatever. The new mode - survival - is also really good at that too. Since i got l4d ive only played very few actual campaigns.

I added you a few days ago, so we will have to give this a go together sometime. Great game, lots of zombie goodness!

L4D really is an amazing game. It is short content wise, but the replayability is amazing.

you should have played on a higher difficulty level. normal is absurdly easy if you have any FPS experience. versus is the best mode imo.

It's far better than Resistance, Killzone, Halo, or any other exclusive FPS this gen. If you are still wondering why it's so good, feel free to read the review i wrote, linked in my sig.

Ok, been playing it for the last hour or so and one word, WOW!
Very impressed but I am finding it very very difficult, the team I was in was lucky to last 3 minutes, is this normal?!

And what mode should I be playing to get "used" to it a bit?


P.S, I'm well impressed with the graphics as I heard it wasn't that good, the way it handles so many things on screen is superb!

are you playing survival? if so, yes 3 minutes is very good if you are new.

i'd recommend a campaign on advanced with some human teammates.

lol, surely you're talking about common infected. common infected are deadly in large numbers, especially with the melee timer that got patched in. if you were playing on normal that's a mistake because it's too easy for anyone with FPS experience.
