So, you're basing this on a select few people's opinions.  Sounds logical to me.

When that's all you have and you actually want to try and answer the question I don't really see any other option.

If you want a which game is better answer, then Infamous, VA will be mediocre imo.

When that is all we have, then yes it's about as logical as you can think.

The best option would be not answering the question.  It's an exercise in futility, especially since so many reviewers get incentives to review & preview games positively.

What is most annoying is how so many are speaking with such certitude in this thread, as though they have the facts.  Let's face it, "Which game is better?" is subjective in the first place.  "Which game is better?" when neither game has released yet is just idiotic.

Well if you define better as getting a higher review average on metacritic then I think you can be fairly certain that Infamous will score better than Velvet Assassin.  VA is at an average of around 60 right now, and I fully expect Infamous to perform better than that based on the history of the developer making it.

I don't consider Sony's studios to be the greatest things since sliced bread, whereas you do.  Also, there's no point in responding to someone who thinks that "this is a good studio and that is a bad studio" is a valid argument.

 It's not idiotic to have an opinion on the information available to you.  Velvet Assassin has already had reviews for the PC version, personally I don't think the 360 version is going to be better.  Finally Infamous has had a lot of good previews and in my experience the praise it's receiving makes it a potential for above 80 in reviews.  This isn't rocket science and I seriously doubt the budget for the two games is even close.  I also don't consider Sony studios to be the greatest things since slice bread but I do have enough sense to see what could be a good game.

You've already said a opinion on a game is subjective so are you trying to tell everyone in here praising Infamous is wrong in their opinion?

I'm not.  I'm questioning how anyone can come out and say Infamous is definitely better than VA.  If they merely said "Infamous" looks awesome, I'd take no issue.  It's the fact that they're coming out and declaring Infamous the vastly superior game (which may even be true) but it comes across as asanine since they have almost certainly played neither.
