Well just bought the 'box.

Problem though, I installed the 5 games and while 4 of the games work Team Fortress does not. When I load Steam it says it's "100% Ready" like the other 4 games. But if I try to load it it says "Validating: 100%" and nothing ever happens. I waited for 2 hours, did restarts, etc.

Any ideas? At all?

eab, check the Steam support system at www.steampowered.com (click on "support" at the top).  They have a (somewhat clunky) searchable database of common issues, and if that doesn't work you can contact them for help.  You can try reinstalling Steam, or try manually revalidating your game content, or deleting the game files and reinstalling them.

That video is hilarious. Yesterday, I was playing spy and got an enemy medic to use his entire uber on me. I laughed so hard I couldn't even play for about 5 minutes.

I joined a server last night in cp_well, and we all went heavy, both teams, and got run over by the train...so much fun.

Then we all went demoman, and started drinking beer right when the train came...so great. It was like 16 "Cheers, mate!" in a row, haha.

Then we proceeded to have a giant bottle-only fight...then we wanted to see if medics could keep each other alive underwater...so we had 16 bleeding, choking, but perfectly healthy medics from both teams chilling underwater haha.

I took pics, but I'm not at that computer currently, I'll post pics later tonight hehe. I still need bind a key to take .jpegs instead of .tgas...it's too much work to convert them, even if taking .jpegs ingame might make me stutter a little.

Haha, good stuff Ben. I wonder what would happen if you got 16 spies together in a circle and had them back-stab at the same time... wonder if it could be synchronized well enough that they would all be killed.

I've finally plunged into TF2 and I haven't had this much fun with a multiplayer FPS since BF1942. I've discovered that while Medic + Heavy is god mode for assault, Medic + Soldier is god mode for CTF maps.

What's really hurting my game is my lack of familiarity with the maps. Guess I'll just have to play more. :D

If not, the remaining Spies would have to commit suicide by train of course, while straightening their ties.
