That's exactly why I would want to play as the villian. I think of BSG, Smallville, the latest Star Wars Eps and Lost - it would be more interesting to play as the villian and get to know how they became what they are. It would be nice to see what happens when they win.

It could be only one game but the next time I play the franchise I would have more vested in defeating the villian. Or I would have a stronger emotional response to the game.
