Doesn't look that bad to me, but then I don't really care about Madden.

Somehow I have the feeling that the HD versions of Madden will continue to outsell the Wii one.

I can't really say I dislike this style at all since I'm a TF2 PC player, I actually like it a lot more than the traditional stuff. after looking at the game play demo, it looks like a better game too since you pass with the IR and you can still do all play type stuff on the fly. too bad I no longer play football games though =P might rent it but that's about it.

There are games that exist with a cartoonish presentation that aren't meant for children. As you can see Okami, Madworld, and Little King's Story have set the charts on fire! Little Kings Story inparticular sold almost 5K in its first week! I also remember Conker's Bad Fur Day being a huge failure might I add.

I don't see your point about Simpsons and South Park. Adults watch those shows but I bet kids make up a majority of the ratings. They wouldn't be a success otherwise.

I personally don't mind the cartoon presentation and I don't think you have to be a kid to enjoy it. However I do understand it primarily appeals to children and that's why they decided to that for the Wii version. Why do you disagree with logic?

Edit: Also Madden is a game that should appeal to people of all ages even with realistic graphics. It's not a mature game with a cartoon presentation. My point is they gave it a cartoon presentation because Wii obviously has the younger audience.

As in Madden 08 sold 930K on Wii and 920K on PS3 and Madden 09 sold 1.620 K on Wii and 1.580 K on PS3 ?

Despite the terrible Box Art for All Play, Wii versions still outsells PS3 versions...

Funny you mentioned Madden 08. Did you notice Madden 09 on the PS3 sold almost double the Wii version? The PS2 version also outsold the Wii.

Wii does not outsell PS3 versions even with the much larger userbase.

Edit: And ofcourse Little King's Story bombed. When was the last time a mature game with cartoon graphics was a success? It always fails!

@Xiaomay: Wii version of Madden 09 didn't even break 1 million. It's a duplicate game what you are seeing. Sales are 0.84 million, about half of PS3 sales.

Its a fotoball simulation game. This is not a "HD graphics omgz" thread, this is simply stating that a football simulation game is supossed to be relistic, which it is. No one is going to buy madden if it is like this because this is nto what the series is supposed to be.

That does not make spyborgs first version bad, or ghostbuster bad, both of them are comedic. In fact, I like the atrstyle for it. But this is a football game that is supposed to be serious. And what the hell is up with the crowds?

LKS is still the best game ever on Wii.

Yes, it's the best game ever. Unfortunately its a mega failure. Probably won't even make the money back.

07 was less, 08 was less, but 09 was almost double the Wii version. That's a huge jump and we all know the Wii has been moving the most consoles.

Looks like every other football game to me. Considering you only ever see the backs of your players during the game, facial/body details really arent significant. Just add a brawling mode in, so when I want I can beat the snot out of someone. =)
