yep Madworld has a cartoonish style, so has Okami. Little King's Story goes in the same category. Games made to appeal to children ?
And I wont go in this debate, but saying "cartoon are for children" probably refers to cartoons like The Simpons or South Park... Cartoon is a form of visual art. The game being casual and/or for children or not depends mainly on contents, not on graphic style

There are games that exist with a cartoonish presentation that aren't meant for children. As you can see Okami, Madworld, and Little King's Story have set the charts on fire! Little Kings Story inparticular sold almost 5K in its first week! I also remember Conker's Bad Fur Day being a huge failure might I add.
I don't see your point about Simpsons and South Park. Adults watch those shows but I bet kids make up a majority of the ratings. They wouldn't be a success otherwise.
I personally don't mind the cartoon presentation and I don't think you have to be a kid to enjoy it. However I do understand it primarily appeals to children and that's why they decided to that for the Wii version. Why do you disagree with logic?
Edit: Also Madden is a game that should appeal to people of all ages even with realistic graphics. It's not a mature game with a cartoon presentation. My point is they gave it a cartoon presentation because Wii obviously has the younger audience.
