Hard to say how people will react to this. But I imagine a lot of people grabbing this game won't realize they are grabbing a version intended to appeal to kids. They should atleast spell the title of the game in crayons so people know.

I heard that Wii versions have options that are appeealing to gamers, even more than HD versions sometimes

To be honest I don't care about the franchise or the sport in the slightest.

Maybe they are trying to get some new fans though? I mean Madden is a huge seller but its fanbase is fairly stagnant.

So you don't think cartoonish graphics wasn't done in effort to appeal to kids? The Wii has a mostly young userbase, this is the only version of the game that's cartoonish, and you don't think it was intended to appeal to kids?

I'm not making a childish comment... you're in denial.

 

Spoiler: Cartoons are primarily watched by children. Adults can watch them too but obviously from the commercials that's not their target audience.

I love it!!! My favorite part is how they only put five people in the stands and cloned them.

Between this and the awesome Boom Blox sequel coming out, EA is doing miraculous things on the Wii.

yep

Madworld has a cartoonish style, so has Okami. Little King's Story goes in the same category. Games made to appeal to children ?

 

And I wont go in this debate, but saying "cartoon are for children" probably refers to cartoons like The Simpons or South Park...

Cartoon is a form of visual art. The game being casual and/or for children or not depends mainly on contents, not on graphic style
