'Killzone 2' Called Up To The Major Leagues...Of Gaming

Suit up, Killzone 2 fans! You're heading to the majors. Well, at least your favorite frag-fest is. Sony has teamed up with GameBattles and Major League Gaming’s tournament site to give you eager Killzonians the chance to compete in a grueling, three-month, battle royale to prove your gaming dominance. The action starts May 6, with the top 64 teams moving on to a March Madness of death on July 1. For those materialistic warriors out there seeking fortune as well as renown, you’ll be happy to know that there will be around $60,000 worth of Killzone goodies on the line, including Helghast uniforms, helmets and even StA 52 assault rifle…replicas. If you think you have what it takes, four-player teams can register right now at Major League Gaming's site, so hop to it.

Prize packages include:

1st Place (1 team) = T-shirt, authentic Killzone 2 Helghast suits, DLC codes
2nd Place (1 team) = T-shirt, StA 52 assault riffle replicas, DLC codes
3rd Place (2 teams) = T-shirt, collectible Killzone 2 helmet/busts, DLC codes
5th Place (4 teams) = T-shirt, DLC codes
9th Place (8 teams) = T-shirt
