Once Sony drops the price of the PS3 it is going to change the whole game. The PS3 is the only current gen console priced well out of the impulse purchase range. When PS3 hits $299 it is going to put pressure on the other consoles that no price cut can change. Wii and 360 are already looked at as acceptably priced so drops will only show small gains from here on out.

Add to this the fact that Sony has the largest first party development studio in the industry. No one can cover the ground Sony can, and it will catch up to Microsoft and Nintendo. This E3 will be a major game changer. With the new D/L only PSP driving profits, the PS3 will get room to breath. PS3 is the Future Now!

The J man hopes so , it will show just how far gaming has become.

@People saying ps3 above 360: There is absolutely no hope for the ps3 to pass the 360 this gen , the 360 has clinched second place and everyone whould agree with that. Its fact not opinion.

In 3,5 years x360 sold 30 mln. consoles.

By the end 2012 then it shoul reach 60 mln. IF it will continue selling at same rate or around 9 mln. per year.

Somehow, there is a Big chance, that next xbox will come by the end of 2011, IF not 2010.
In that case, big chance, that x360 sales will decline.

And it stil unknown, what effect 299$ ps3 will have, neither what 199$ costing x360 Pro will do.

But i very doubt, that x360 will outsell NES. While PS3 will outsell NES and of`course x360, since JAPAN+Europe > NA.
