where are the numbers for monster hunter? I can't seem to find anything...

It's just weird. Cause usually splits like that happens o companies can focus on certain things... and let the other branches focus on other things.

But Wada is CEO of both... and the boards look similar.

I don't get it. It doesn't make sense.

Since when did SE make smart, intelligent decisions?

What are you talking about?!??! i'm sorry but i don't think that's true They did treated them good but "saving their ass" what?!? why?!? as far as i am concerned it was nintendo the one that saved their as by letting them make FF for the nes and saving them for bankrupcy.

I am sorry but you sound like a ignorant sony fanboy, im not saying you are but at least you sound like sorry. (and i'm not saying all sony fanboys are ignorant lol they re also microsoft and nintendo fanboys like that) =)

Don't know your history eh? There's a reason Sony owns 9% of SE (18 or 19% before the merger) and it's all thanks in part to the bomba that was FF The Spirits within. Square had to go to Sony for help. Google it if you want.

Has anybody thought about the fact that SONY is helping to breed to series here so they can get a multiplat or dibs on next console MH???, you really think MH3 wont be ported to PSP, PS3....this is CAPCOM there sellouts too, dont 4get that...

I highly doubt MH3 will be ported to the PS3, the PSP though is pretty sure to get a MHP3. Maybe even by the end of the year to push the PSP4000, who knows? But I think everybody expects a MHP3 at some point, especially since Capcom confirmed there are other MH games in development or something like that on famitsu.

Oh i'll check it thanks!

DQ X :D

I'd mark that as completely idiotic. Why in the world announce a game before it's prequel hasn't released yet?

It'll be FF13 all over again.

LOL Good call, I forgot about that, it is FFXII/FFXIII all over again. Damn SE is worse of a clusterfuck of a company than Sony, and that's not easy to do.

PSP most likely (announcement won't come for a while though, they won't try to cannibalize MH3 sales...) PS3 no way. Not after they canceled it on PS3 a long time ago.

"This is alittle off topic, buts the mean behind SONY owning 9% of SE, do they get benefits or something???"

Not really :3

Did you forget what happened with RE4? two weeks before GCN launch it got annouced for PS2.

I know a fare few RE fans who owned PS2 how were going to buy a gcn just for RE as GCN was cheap at the time.

I'm not sure if the per capita rate of PSP's in the West is enough to give the local multiplayer aspect enough value to most customers. I did a thread on this before, the DS and PSP both exploded in Japan after they reached a certain per capita point(Monster Hunter coincided with this), a point the DS is only just reaching in the West and the PSP is still a way off from.

The only chance there is of similar success being replicated is if there's some place where the PSP per person rate is much higher, presumably schools and possibly colleges. It would have to grow from that to give the PSP the same success it's had in Japan.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I'm guessing you want the numbers for MHF2.
