sure, i'll give the ps3 props. i hate sony as a company, but i gotta admit that the ps3 is a good console. i still am unsure of how it will sell when it drops it's price, but i expect it to do well. kinda wish they would have dropped the price already so my brother can finally buy one. i own a 360 and am in love with it, but the ps3 is fun.

^ Sales are not gonna explode and turn the tide of the "console war" the way many of the more rabid Sony fanboys are convinced. We'll see spikes and higher weekly sales, but nothing outrageous.

the biggest problem for SONY was its inability to convince the customer that its hardware was worth the extra dough.. If they hadnt delayed GT5 and if FF had turned up atleast 1 year earlier in japan, it might have been just a hair's distance from the 360

So if the PS3 is on the market fot ten years it will obviously sell 100 million, and if its on the market for 20 years it will sell 200 million?

The real question is whether the wii is a sole console or whether it is teamed up with another console.

I think it can easily pass 60-80 million ww.
remember, its done ~22 in 2.5 years at a $400-600 price range. It costs most other countries $500 dollars. Prices are not really relative, but if they can just keep up momentum and cut prices when it starts to dip, little by little, they can possibly do 70+Million.

GameCube was such a fail console.

Gamecube was not a failed console. It made Nintendo decent money and had a ton of good games. I also can play GB, GBC, and GBA games on my TV thanks to the GameBoy Player addon.
