The article is fairly general and focused on the change in setting and what not, there is a lot of "we can't talk about that yet". I also haven't sat down and read it yet, just skimming.

-1st person, cell shaded, like I said, similar to XIII,
-going for teen rating so, "The gore just doesn't fit for us and what we're trying to do"
-No multiplayer
-exclusively Wii Motion Plus
-talk of dual wielding Gun and sword but nothing definitive

So Red Steel 2 w/MotionPlus bundle is looking likely as MotionPlus is NEEDED for this title. Also no multiplayer, the team wanted to focus on the single player component and they actually completely changed direction when MotionPlus was first revealed.

Most Interesting part I think is the possibility for dual wielding gun and sword :D

Please this gotta be fake.

I don't want to see a childish Red Steel just like the last prince of persia.

God, no.

I suggest they change the title to "Red Steel 2: Absolutely Nothing To Do With Red Steel."

Not that I have any problems with this--other than the disappointing lack of multiplayer--I just find it funny that the common ground between this game and the original Red Steel appears to be just a gun and a sword.

Do we even specifically know it's a western??

Not really. It could be a sci-fi western, from the look.

Yeah and I'm starting to wonder if it will be a sequel or a prequel.

It looks childish to those trying to be mature, who are mainly teens.

Thats it

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

So now we need a couple of vampires and a parasitic hand... thing... ish... and we'll be all set!

Right?

Right?!
