But it seems sony likes to spam their successful franchises. Ratchet and Clanks come out every year, sometimes twice Patapon 2 is coming out...and Patapon is hardly a year old. Jak and Daxter, Resistance, Wipeout, Motostorm, etc They must have sequelitis or something.
Do you feel their franchises are overused? -DISCUSS-

So you a Wii Fanboy is saying Sony over uses there franchises? HAHA good laugh right there!!!
The only franchises Sony has that seem a bit excessive in how often they release are Socom and Ratchet and Clank. That isn't a large percentage of their franchises. Nintendo is guilty of a few themselves, like Mario Party and supposedly Fire Emblem. I don't get the deal with people putting Microsoft in this boat though. What exactly has Microsoft overused? I suppose the closest to oversaturation would be Viva Pinata which has had three releases and one spinoff in the span of three years. I can't really think of anything else though.
| Mirson said: Yes especially Ratchet. We will have 5 in just two years: Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank, Quest for Booty, and Crack in Time. |
Hey, come on that's three years.

Okay, okay. Two and a half.

Yeah, we had Size Matters in January of 2007, ToD in October 2007, Clank in July 08, Quest for Booty in July 08, and Crack in Time somewhere in the Fall.
Sony doesn't over use their franchises any more than anyone else. I say if they want to put out a game a week, if it's good, who cares?!
| Mirson said: I thought it came out during the summer, but there's a PS2 version of it. |
Yeah, they ported the PSP game to PS2 in the Summer.
