Yes 12 is a perfect example of how when they lose developers, they lose the heart of the game. The music was almost non existant in ff 12, and the story just sucked.  Period (my opinion!). What happened when they lost those two geniuses

Yeah.  There is one issue though: it may turn out that Sakaguchi and the other Square developers are co-dependant.  This means that both Sakaguchi and Square may not make another good plot again... this happens quite often as well. Hopefully that's not the case, and both Sakaguchi and Square recover, but Blue Dragon was hit pretty hard for it's plot...

We don't have to worry about Uematsu though.  That man is amazing no matter what he does.  He made the SSBB theme song, which is pure awesome.  http://youtube.com/watch?v=tKpdLvuna80

He certainly hasn't lost his incredible talent.

true, but weve mentioned this in other threads, sakaguchi didnt put much effort into blue dragon, mostly LO.  I dont think we can judge him till LO if its great, then he can do it, if not well.....

Ya uematsu has lost nothing, we at least know LO will sound fantastic

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Look at this video its amazing!

FF VII related coming straight from the psp game. An epic battle between sephiroth and genesis the newbie in FF VII.

Ugh, it looks like DBZ with swords. That does not make me happy. The music leaves a lot to be desired too.

@Witeout king

Why would they say continued in FF VII if they know new players of a new generation that own the game (CC:FFVII)dont even know WTF FF VII is.

They are remaking it, thats just it, just like they are making a new kingdom hearts game, it would be insane that they didnt remake it.

Even though the install base is minimal FF VII will move hardware for the ps3.

Its the only FF game that has not been remade.

Square is going to reveal it in TGS, and all of you will be shocked.

If the "new generation of gamers" (which honestly started around thetime of the PS2) didn't know what Final Fantasy VII was, there would be no major cry for a FF7 remake.

You have no evidence to support your argument that SquareEnix intends to remake Final Fantasy VII.  Crisis Core ends with "The story continues in Final Fantasy VII".  And thus it does.  Final Fantasy VII continues from there.  Crisis Core was not a reboot, it was a prequel.

Well it has always been just a matter of time. Still I think a remake on PS3 is unlikely, FF remakes have always been on handhelds and the PSP has a pretty good instal base.

Their psychological games are making me "sick".

@Pillzee, ever watched the Tech Demo? That ain't PSP graphics but simply PS3 GFX :P

The "tech demo" is just a pre-rendered movie.  I never understood the point of pre-rendered tech demos.  They prove nothing at all.  Unless you show developers gameplay along with your tech demo you aren't showing anything that the other systems can't do...

FF VII is NOT being remade.Every few months or so,there are minimal statements regarding this and they all say that they would like to remake it in the future but it is not being remade now and that there is no such project scheduled.

Also SE would not remake it on PS3 as its not doing well at all.Especially when its sales are compared to Wii and X360.

If FF VII is remade it will be remade on a handheld as all FF remakes up to now are handhelds. If it is remade during THIS handheld generation it would be on DS as all FF remakes are on DS.

And before anyone says it can't happen,I'll say it can.The game of FF VII is less than 230 MB in size.Everything else is because of FMV which can be easily excluded. Also the DS cartridge can connect to GBA cartridge and support extra space.Lastly there is the possibility of 2nd cartridge.

And now that I have said all I had to say,I'll conclude by guaranteeing by 100% that FF VII will definetily not be remade within the the next 2 years,no matter how much we all want it to.

Soriku FF VII is contracted exclusively on sony platforms, you will never see FF VII on a nintendo system(other than kingdomhearts COM).

Again like I said..

FF VII will not fit on a 1.8gb disc.

Just to point this,Wii game disc has 10GigaBytes of space.
