Forums - Gaming - Spoilers: Enough proof FF VII is being remade? Ending of FF VII CC

Yeah, Shiva (a staple Summon in the FF Franchise) is a... motorcycle in FFXIII. It's just getting ridiculous at this point IMO. As LToK said, Hiranobu Sakaguchi (creater of FF) and Nobuo Uematsu (most brilliant video game composer of all time and composer for FFI-X) is gone. Ironically, the FF theme song he created years ago is still being used in FFXIII, but that's the only song of his to appear. The music will most likely be sub-par just like FFXII's music was. Without Sakaguchi the plot will probably turn out as bad as FFXII's as well.

FFXII is the perfect example of what a studio can do to a game when it loses it's biggest developers. It's kind of sad to see what can happen to a series. Interestingly, both Sakaguchi and Uematsu consider FFIX their favorite game in the series and the best work they have ever done. Just throwing that out there.

Edit: if you couldn't tell I'm a fanboy of the classic FF style, and I'm attempting to gain more followers lol.

I know some of you won't be able to believe this ... but I know when Final Fantasy VII will be released.

Oh yes ... insider information, folks. You heard it here first.

Crisis Core is only the beginning. There will be a continuation, but it won't be released until 1997. I know what you're thinking ... "1997??? I can't wait that long!" Don't you fret, children. You can continue the story NOW!

Know why? Cause it's 2007! That's right.

Not only that, but Final Fantasy VII will outsell Crisis Core!

You can thank me later for this information.

Haha, I'm the exact same way with things like music. Btw, Iced Earth is the best band ever. Go. Listen. Now!

It's pretty sad that the two big guns from the studio left. But form what i've heard Blue Dragon didn't have that great of a story. Is this true? Or was it just another Japanese victim to American reviewers?

I can't speculate on a game I haven't played, but stickball seemed to be very impressed with the game.  I doubt the plot is anything incredible, but it wasn't really meant to be either.  Lost Remnant should offer a deeper plot.

Even without the biggest badasses FFXII is still ranked third best in gamerankings after FFVII and FFIX and got 40/40 in Famitsu so they must have made something right. With all that talent Blue dragon is still a mediocore game and I dont have big hopes for Lost odyssey. On topic I dont think they will make FFVII remake maybe if ps3 had dominated but not now it is not financial good for them to make FFVII remake and make it to ps3.

I would seriously buy a psp for a ff7 remake on it. Ps3 is still a little too expensive for me to buy based on this one game though

Switch Friend Code - 3664 - 9964 - 9777

Smash Ultimate Alias - Happy Lion

Mains: Donkey Kong, King K. Rool, Diddy Kong

I have a feeling the ps3 is going to be amazing in TGS.

No, they really did nothing right in FFXII.  What it got is what I like to call courtesy reviews.  People can let a game that boring and that badly designed with that bad a plot and that horrible a group of characters go just because it says Final Fantasy.  Blue Dragon on the other hand gets ripped apart on every little detail in it's reviews.  I'm not saying Blue Dragon is a better game... I haven't played it yet, but most JRPGs are better than Final Fantasy XII.  It's living proof that a game in a major franchise can completely suckass and be reviewed well just for it's brand name.  Out of the major review sites only Gametrailers had the balls to give it an 8, and even that is much better than that stupid game deserved.  Whoever's brilliant plan it was to make a game that you could freaking autopilot as long as you aren't a complete retard should be shot.

*slowly, but surely claps*

Congratulations. Your justification for another OMFG FNAL FANTXYY SEVEN REEEEMAKE thread is a blatant and obvious reference at the end of Crisis Core that it's a prequel to a 10 year old game where its story is "continued."

First off go away

Thank you and good bye

Except he's right, so back off.

It's pretty obvious the game is referring to that the story continues in (THE ORIGINAL) Final Fantasy VII.

naz:  I have to say, Blue Dragon was an extreme disappointment.  The demo was sloppy and completely confusing.  Meanwhile, I have 50+ hours clocked in Final Fantasy XII and I'm still going.

@Witeout king

Why would they say continued in FF VII if they know new players of a new generation that own the game (CC:FFVII)dont even know WTF FF VII is.

They are remaking it, thats just it, just like they are making a new kingdom hearts game, it would be insane that they didnt remake it.

Even though the install base is minimal FF VII will move hardware for the ps3.

Its the only FF game that has not been remade.

Square is going to reveal it in TGS, and all of you will be shocked.
