@CGI: Xbox 360 fanboys find them extremely flawed in everyway.
Tease.

Have you seen worldwide sales this week? Killzone 2 has countered Halo so well, that in it's 8th week it is being outsold by Halo 3 which has been out 10 times as long. And that's a game with almost 10m copies floating around out there. And you think a brand new expansion is going to lack momentum?

It's just my opinion, but I do think ODST is going to sell less than any previous Halo (not counting Wars).

Im not being sarcastic.
Some people are just like that.

^ Which is why I shed a tear every time the best PS3 exclusives are listed and no-one mentions either Siren or Genji: Days of the blade.

why would they? They didn't do it last gen, and they haven't done it this gen. Why would anything change? By the same token, I could say that M$ would dish out top dollar to get Gran Turismo. But no. Both companies did the best thing with gamers in mind. They made COMPETITION. M$ made Forza, Sony made Killzone. And no, it wasn't all just my opinion. And those "valid" points with links and what not were proven irrelevant (ie. "The 360 has more games....because of all the EA sports 2006 games and so on")

They didn't do it last gen because they didn't need to and they haven't done it this gen because they can't. There is no way in hell MS is selling their IP rights for Halo to Sony. Spin it how you want but Sony has fallen hard from last gen and if you don't think they would snatch up Halo in an instant given the opportunity then your delusional. And yes MS would also probably by the GT IP if given a chance but I'm sure Sony has locked down the rights to that title in a way that MS will not see it any time soon.
Also if you don't see how saying 360 has a larger library of better games because of sports games is not only a matter of opinion but honestly laughably ignorant then no amount of reason is going to get through your head.

ps3 fanboys are really annoying... this is from a ps3 only owner that will never buy a 360

IGN had some article on game series that had overstayed their welcome a bit, and I think the Halo series was one of them because the mini-pic by the article was of Master Chief. However, I haven't had much luck trying to find the article since I first saw it, and I didn't read it. |
GREAT POST!
We have not seen anything of the game, but you estimate a pretty low review score for a Halo FPS and dramatically low sales for whatever reason. Okay this is strange, but you can even top that.
You are talking about an article you never read about games that overstayed their welcome. Okay, now you might think not reading an article disqualifies you to talk about it, but you know better, because you saw a picture of Master Chief. Of course, you can't find it now.
In a word: you do not have anything plausible to tell.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
For those of you saying that Halo: ODST is going to sell like Halo Wars or only sell
3 million, are you willing to take a bet?
It's going to be fun reading the posts here when the sales numbers for the first week of ODST are put up :)

@ Mendicate Bias
yeah I know some of the people in this thread really have forgotten how insane a Halo FPS by Bungie sells. This game will sell 2-3 million opening week I guarantee it and probably 5 million or so lifetime.
