Forums - Gaming - Swine flu, will US gamers spend more time gaming?

There are some uncorfimed cases in Czech Repiblic. I´m better not going to anywhere, I will be playing instead.

I probably disconnect Internet too. You know, lots of viruses too :-/

The problem is that the WHO can't do anything about a new virus that appeared out of nowhere like that and that spreads at such fast rates. This virus, having 4 different types of influenza virus, was probably man made. Check the articles and videos I linked.

Of course we will blame someone, too bad we won't blame the right people, like it has always been happening since the beginning of humanity.

Actually the only thing The Who can do is ROCK!!!

But, to the real topic.  The only people that have died were in Mexico right?  If so, then at the moment I'm not worried.

I realise they can't do anything about it but they are the one's generally held responsible for tracking these kind of things.  I fully agree with your second point.

@Diablerie: You are not worried, but the media is creating panic lol. Media groups are owned by the government, so what a better way to advertise the disease and create panic than flooding every newspaper and news channel with this.

Believe it or not, soon enough many people around you will be in a histerical loop. Already happening here, in Argentina, where no one was even taken in as a possible infected person, but you hear people on the streets and everywhere saying you should avoid eating pork meat and blah blah. Even the media here is trying to create panic, out of nothing.

I'll rock with the Who anyways, in my dreams though, gotta wake up early tomorrow.

I think some of you are in denial about it or something. Its just a matter of time it will spread all over. Here in Canada there has already been like 7 cases or something, no deaths but still. In Mexico 149 people have died. Its pretty serious.

If I hear about it getting closer to where I live, then yes I'll be doing some more gaming. ;)

I'm pretty worried about it, since my family lives in California and it's not like any previous efforts to keep people from Mexico out have EVER worked there. So far officially the death rate is somewhere between 5 and 10%, that's pretty high. Considering the last flu pandemic managed to infect about half of humanity and killed off about 1/20 of us, I hope this doesn't get out of hand.

Hopefully this will all be over in September, where i'm planning a roadtrip through the USA...

Glad there hasnt been any cases here in chile, Im glad we live in the end of the world, and the goverment is controlling people that come from the US and mexico too, so I hope it doesnt come here.

But if it does I will surely spend more time in my house and by that I will play more games, spend time in here and facebook, etc...

Very good drawings.

 Thanks

Here in Chile there hasnt been any cases either but some people are still buying masks and things like that because they are affraid, some class mates at my university where afraid because Chivas(the Football team) was going to play with U de Chile and they might be infected since they come from mexico xD. I think people like to get scared over nothing, I mean, i would be worried if I lived in mexico, but not here.

At least the goverment and the press said there was nothing to worry about since people from USA and Mexico(dont know if canada too) are being monitored in the airports.
