Forums - Gaming - Anyone tried the Frag FX for Playstation 3?

This little thingy just got an official release at my local gaming store. And I just hate FPS games on consoles, and my main reason for givig up KZ2 is that i hate the 10 second 180 turn-around that comes with playing FPS games on a console (compared to the PC). But this thing might just make the game a bit more fun for me, but it looks weird and im not sure how it all works live. So, have any of you people out there tried this controller, and are you able to give it a quick review?

It is pretty basic how it works. The mouse portion just replaces the right joystick, and that is about it. Other than that everything is just a remapping of the buttons. You will not be able to turn around any faster, because the game accepts a max x & y value and that is the same as holding the joystick all the way to the side. It will provide better control overall, but not necessarily faster speeds.

At least, that is how I understand it

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Aha... so theres no sensitivity adjustments/enhancements with the mouse, its just the right analog stick in the shape of a mouse?! But, as you said, with better control overall when it comes to aim and so on..

I see. Hmm.

That looks crazy!
Would work well if a game like Starcraft 2 was ported

it wouldn't work well at all. The mouse is just emulating the right stick and with console rpg it wouldn't work (you would have to drag your mouse)

Couldn't they have somehow worked out the left analog part, into a keyboard like design? I suck at PC (and console to be honest... lol) controls, but I'm sure if they did it'll be perfect for PC users.
