Forums - Gaming - PGR4 looking better than GT5

I for one (360 owner btw) am looking forward for the big PS3 games to hit. Basically I want to be convinced to buy a PS3 - for the games - not the hype/blu-ray/cell or anything else). I will buy a console if it has enough games that I must have and with titles like GT, the PS3 might just do that. Time will tell.

err GT is big, but if your talking on how many gamers actually got it you have to consider this'

the highest selling GT sold 12 million, on a 120 million console thats a 10% attachment rates, which is huge for ps2, but not really for other consoles, and im curious on to how many systems it will actually push

Halo 2 had a 30% attachment rate, which has only happened a very few times in history, and its why its so big, its a proven system seller to MS, and So is GT, but both are big and you cant say GT has everything on Halo, they each have something on each other

LOL attach rate bs, only way to use PS2s far superior userbase agianst it.  PS2 did 120 million, comparing attach rates to a console that did 20 million is pointless.

GT3 did 14.87 million, best selling GT did doube the sales of the best Halo thats what GT has over Halo.

Drop your fucking fanboyism for a second Hus, then maybe you might understand Ok. Is it dropped? Course not.

If you actually READ AND ACTUALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT I SAID, i am stating that halo 3 WILL have a bigger impact in terms of xbox owners, BECAUSE IT HAD A HIGHER ATTACH RATIO, like tombi said, ps2  had  a DIVERSE group of gamers, not a majority on one GAME.

Just because it sold more does not mean its more of a system seller, at all. It means that on a much bigger console it sold more. With attachment ratios, GT 3 would of sold 2.4 million on the xbox, halo 2 would of sold 40 million on ps2.

In all i think GT will sell less because its on a much smaller userbase console, and also because of the attachment ratios, UNDERSTAND?

In terms of system sellers, if GT 5 sells consoles like Halo, SMG etc sell, then it should sell more because yes it had more games sold.

Use your brain Hus, i said both have shit on each other, learn to fucking read

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

They both look hot... They should both be in my collection.

They are better in different ways. No real way to tell unless you play both as gameplay is king. I know Forza 2 is extremely realistic as I have driven race cars on track a couple of times. The physics in Forza are second to none, and it looks like they have shared that info with the PGR people. GT physics looked too smooth to me (Race cars aren't that smooth ever...). But the game still looks stunning and I am sure it will play great as it is one of Sony's corner stone franchises (A GT flop is not an option).

We all know Sony uses PGR screens to advertise GT anyhow... So, in reality there isn't much difference between the two of them if the marketers don't see it!

Lets see if Gran Turismo 5 can live up to its hype and be a system seller. I don't see it but let's see. And to be honest PGR4 looks as good and plays as good as GT5. And considering PGR4 has car damage models and GT5 doesn't definitely tells you that PGR4 is better than all specs. Lets see though. I'm waiting patiently for the results.

GT5 has great car models -- especially the in-car ones. That said, the title needs some work on the environments. I'm looking forward to trying PGR4, but at 30fps, it better be amazing because after playing the butter-smooth forza 2 at 60fps, it was painful playing dirt at 30fps. GT5 is supposedly going to be 1080P 60FPS. If they can get that framerate running with those car models and environment detail up to the PGR4 level, it will kill everything. That remains to be seen, of course.

BTW, find blimblim's videos posted on www.gamersyde.com and DOWNLOD them -- DON'T stream them. They are 720P HD feeds and are WAY better than the compressed videos floating around the internet.

Impossible, PS3 has more power than the 360 so its games have to look better no matter who makes them.

i remember watching a video ages ago that ps3 could do dual audio visual output, they where saying that it'd happen on gt5 that one tv would be your usual viewpoint and the other would be your rear vision, anyone know if its still happening?

I remember that to. It was in a Gameinformer mag. They cancel that out cause during the concept stages it was rumored to have two HDMI ports, I don't know if they still do, but now its only one.

Dirt has better framerate and better graphics on the ps3 version

www.gamespot.com

Dirt 360 is 20fps
