I hope there are more then 6 weapons like gears.

Damn, damn, damn, that multiplayer looks fun as hell. I need to get a PS3 damnit.

Love the idea of more than just shooting in MP (i.e. climbing, stealth grabs, etc).

I hope they push you to risk exploring/climbing - perhaps by shoving the best weapons up high somewhere exposed.

If they figure a nice balance to make the mechanics jell this will be a great MP/Coop.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

@ dallinor: some reviews (ign, gamespot) do indicate that the level of platforming is toned down for the multiplayer and that the available platforming is often forgotten because of the action - although they do admit that might because one isn't familiar with the levels

I wonder to what degree it's toned down?

It would be a huge pity in my opinion if the platforming is completly disregarded in place of charging in wildly with machine guns, or just sticking to ground level.

Then again, if everyone is doing that, I can climb up high and get a sniper.

The GT preview mentions that there's a minigun.

"there’s also a huge minigun stashed away that slows you down, but really lets you rack up kills"

I trust ND to put the best weapons in hard to reach places.

Talking about this is reminding me of Syphon Filter's multiplayer, which was fantastic. It also had a small amount of platforming involved.

Had my doubts when I first heard of multiplayer in Uncharted 2

But this trailer has erased any doubts I had

Uncharted 2 multiplayer and co op ftw

Uncharted II looks awesome.

Levels are apparently a tad more horizontal than in the singleplayer and probably also because every player that was there, is used to same-level shooting and doesn't take advantage of the few vertical possibilities as much (but that'll change with experience)

The noobs and novice people will only use the horizontal.  The higher skilled and elite players will undoubtedly make use of the vertical.

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

I'll climb just because I can... until someone shoots me down anyway. Some bugger's always shooting me online.

The coop sounds interesting. I wonder if it has to be 3 or if you can chose 2 or 3 - also unless I missed something it sounds like no split screen for the MP/Coop - i.e. it's all online only.

Plunder sounds fun too. In fact while I like CTF grabbing a flag always seemed daft whereas grabbing a gold icon as treasure actually makes a modicum on sense.

The ability to record levels with lip syncing to mikes also implies some fun can be had if you want to setup an action scene and play it out with buddies.

Finally, I'm glad ND hired more people to allow them to have the same size of team on SP and a new team on MP - sounds like the SP isn't going to be compromised due to the MP either.

I'm really liking the looks of this - I hope it delivers.
