Nintendo already did this.

Smash, Kart, Fit, Wii Sports Resort, Punch-Out. A lot of their big games have released in spring/summer.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Dead Space comes to mind...the game would´ve probably sold better if EA hadn´t decided to release it so close to "the big boys".

EA wanted a hit and hits only happen for the season...
