Forums - Sales - Serious thread, what is happeneing to the Wii?

The whole "when you're mature you prefer X" argument cuts both ways and is actually quite useless. When you're mature you look deeper into all things.

Exactly! This guy who is talking about him being 25 just shows that he managed to get to 25 without becoming very mature, because maturity is the ability to look deeper into things and handle them with thought process.

Saturation point hasnt been reached and will not be reached for a long time. But its a fact that the wii might sell a bit slower, especcially in the quiet months with no big releases. Its not as hot anymore as it used to be, your not the coolest kid on the block anymore when you have a wii. I still predict excellent holiday sales, it might not previous set records, but it will probably sell about 90% YOY

well, what is happening to Wii is also happening to Ps3/Xbox360 because all 3 are down this week

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Sell your Nintendo stock and run for the hills, the fad is over.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

I haven't read the entire thread, but in the first 5 pages nobody had demonstrated that anything is happening beyond typical seasonal trends, and of course the Japanese decline. Did anyone manage to show this?

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

What happens if Wii Sports Resort and Motion Plus fail to sale fewer than 5 million copies?

if nintendo comes out with a good game for he wii, the sales will probably do better again

I think everyone who wants a Wii already has one. You can walk into any gamestop, bestbuy and target and pick one up. Wii sales are still stellar, don't get me wrong, but there comes a point of saturation.

I don't think a there is a person out there who hasn't played Wii sports yet or hasn't at least heard of it unless you live in a cave somewhere.

If this were the case, then the other systems would have been declared dead two years ago.

It is interesting how supply catches up to a demand that has been reduced by internal, external, and seasonal factors and some people think it is the end of the world -- even though the same phenomenon can be seen looking at the trends of the other consoles.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

PS3 has been doing better as of late especially in Japan and it still hasn't reached a cost that would allow it to start finding its true market saturation point like $299 or $250.

we are already in half of the generation

Ps3 or Xbox360 should start to outsell Wii 100k per week about now if they are to win but it won't happen
