Are we talking about Japan or the Rest of The World? The markets are very different.

In Japan, Nintendo expected Wii Music to do what Wii Fit, Wii Play, and Wii Sports did. Things change very quickly in Japan. TBH, PSP did a lot to compete with the Wii there.

In The Rest of the World, Wii still does good from Wii Sports, Wii Fit, and Wii Play. That's not changing anytime soon.

You are missing the point of the article, which is look at the last few weeks.  This last week totals:

Wii 245,300
PS3 160,324
X360 148,684

309008 (PS3 + X360 combined) is a fair amount more then the sales for the Wii.

The Wii isn't in very much trouble right now.

After all, it was made to be a fail-proof system after Gamecube. We got to remember that aspect.

it's one thing that is happening to Wii, is a lot, but small ones:

- Dsi release may take away some sales
- Nintendo focus on Dsi marketing, next Nintendo game comes in June i think
- no good games for Wii these weeks, Madworld and so on have all been released (except Little King's Story and Pikmin 2 in Europe - this week)


basically, nothing is happening to Wii, software sales are still strong, and i can say we are in the "calm" stage before the "storm" which is Wii Sports Resort



don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

It's a recession during the slowest period of the year. I'm amazed that any of the consoles are even doing as well as they are.

what you are saying is why Wii is selling more, not why is selling less

i believe the Wii suits at the lifestyle of a wider range of people, both hardcore and casual, like me for example : P

Totally agree - he's obviously just a kid, guess it when you get old enough to experience sex and violence for yourself it begins to loose it's appeal. 

Thats probably why I play games like mysims and pretend i'm single

I didn't say games have to be bloody and pornographic to be good.  I stated what people like and I mean older people.  I'm 25 years old and I 'm not gonna be playing Wii sports, Mario, or Pokemon for ever and my older frineds don't play them either.  I like games that is more realistic like MLB the Show 09 or KZ2.
