It's so difficult getting According to a "very credible source," there have been two important changes to the Achievements rules since that Gamerscore blog post in 2007: First, the new maximum points allowed for any retail game (including subsequent DLC) is 1,750 points, spread across no more than 80 Achievements.

I think I'm averaging 400 per game.  Hopefully future games will change this.

I bet retail games max out with 1000 with DLC bringing the additional 750. Some games have so much bonus content, that the extra points are well deserved.

 They're increasing XBLA games to 250 points apparently... 



Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego. 

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

XBLA games should get a boost to around 500 max.

they should add achievements to xbox originals.you know like 500. i would love halo or ghoulies with achievements.

I personally think this will be all to shot when Halo3: ODST comes out... Halo 3 already has 1750 achievements on it, when ODST comes out the achievements will be added to Halo3's current ones already taking this over 1750 ? There'll be four more vidmaster achievements and ODST campaign achievements.

AFAIK that would require digging into the game's code. Not gonna happen.





Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

I think I read somewhere that ODST will have 1000 GS.
