I think it was IGN that played it and in one of their voice chat episodes they said it wasn't that great. Just a simply platformer with not much going on. Of course that was a while ago so I don't know if any improvements have been made but yea.

Hmm, well, from that trailer, it certainly does look really sweet, imho. It does remind me of some of Rare's older (aka good) games. And it has an extremely Tim Buton-esque feel to it. Which is a good thing, in my book. :)
I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

The art style actually reminds me of the Rayman game on the N64.
