I'm currently playing Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat and I'm having several times more fun with than I did with the SNES games.
There must be something wrong with me.
Pixel Art can be fun.

No no, you're fine. The DKC series was great, but Jungle Beat...well, there's a reason these guys were given Mario Galaxy.

Speaking of Galaxy, the two games have some odd similarities from the "touch items, star bits/flowers arranged in shapes appear", the spinning on flowers, the 2nd racing (Boo and Blue Bird respectively) and others I rather not go into.
Pixel Art can be fun.

That, and they're freaking-awesome platformers!
I found it more fun than 3, but not really the other two...
(didn't like 3 much for some reason XD)
I was about to buy that thing for the Gamecube, but instead I bought Viewtiful Joe.

Indeed they are.
@DaveD
I love Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2 but Jungle Beat is in its own league.
@One_touch_KO
You should get Jungle Beat at some point, like me and noname said it's a freaking-awesome platformer.
Pixel Art can be fun.
