So when can I actually increase my soul level? I have over 8000 souls and I'm still in the first level and afraid to go fight the boss because I don't want to lose them all. Or is 8000 not very many?

Stupid gamestop being out of the collectors edition (thus no guide)....

They are. 1-1 and 1-2 are designed to be pretty easy with the exception of the red knight and tower knight.

You can't raise your soul level until you beat the first boss. Don't worry.

Bring Turpentine and be smart. He's easy.

god I hate three one. I got lost like a million times in that tower, died a couple times from falling than I rescued the sage got about 12000 soul levels before I went for the boss than left. Spent my souls came back and got killed by an arrow in two hits going up to the church. I guess you have to have a higher soul level to advance?

Not sure if Soul Level will help. I believe the strategy for that part is :

"Don't get hit."

I am about to fight the boss of 2-1. I'll see what area you are talking about soon.

The game auto-saves. If you quit now I believe it will auto-save, but make sure you quit manually. When you load it back up I think it will start you back at the beginning of the level.

2-1 boss is easiest to kill with a bow.

Again, anger setting in. They changed the requirements to use the compound long bow! Screw you Atlus, I'll never be able to use!
