Let me be more clear (Since what you said is almost exactly 1 side of the side-kicking system)  Side-kicking is from City of Heroes (or basically any Crytek game, but under a different name perhaps). 

Joining Higher Level Character

Could have the lower SL character join the higher level one.  In doing so the lower SL character will increase in stats to higher character SL -1, (with all the stat increases and everything else). To work in Demon's Souls a formula for % of each stat per the total would have to be used in how to lvl that person up.

Joining a Lower Level Character

The Higher sl character would join a much lower level person.  In doing so the higher SL character will decrease their SL to equal that of the lower level character.  Just like above, a % of each stat against the total would have to be used in how to distribute points.  

The side kicking system is a bit more complicated that that, but for DS something this simple would work great.

The game comes out in Europe fairly soon (another month), so there will be a bunch of new players getting the game. I will update the OP with more current information and sales figures.

My recommendation is to do the World 4 stages. They're pretty easy (if you use a good block and counter technique against the skeletons) and the bosses are pretty easy. Plus, it's the World were you gain the most souls per enemy.

Bosses are Adjudicator, Lost One and Storm King 

cheers lestat. cant parry wiv the shields i have tho. purple flame and a similar size silver one. My starting shield was better for that. Soldier class. World 4 is that shrine of storms?

Don't worry too much about parrying. It will become obsolete pretty soon, as it's only trully viable against World 1 enemies, or against the goblins in World 5, if you have fast reflexes for it. 

I only used the Purple Flame Shield during my entire run on Demon's Souls, up until I was strong enough to use the Tower Shield. Basically, an upgraded Purple Flame Shield +10 has 83% guard resistance, meaning that the Stamina drain while blocking with a PFS+10 is very low.

If you want to strike a balance later in the game, consider getting the Dark Silver Shield (for 100% magical reduction and parry abilities) and upgrade it to +5 with Colourless Demon's Souls (from Primeavil Demons while on Pure Black World Tendencies or Mephistopheles quest).

Keeping those two shields in your inventory is enough for pretty much anything on the SP aspect of the game.

World 4 is indeed the shrine of storms. The World has a very nice gloomy feeling to it.

I've been thinking about getting this game when it (finally) is released in Europe.

But im a bit weary, I like a challenge which is a drawing point. But I can also get easily frustrated :P

Demon's Souls is one of those games that will drive your frustration to a breaking point. Pretty much everything can kill you and have you lose hours of grinding and sweat to progress in the game, if you have bad luck.

But that's also one of it's drawing points. The feeling of achievement after you successfully accomplish something in Demon's Souls after having being stuck in there for hours/days is without peer in the current gaming gen

Will the EU version have it's own server?

Wow started playing this game again, the drawing point of it is CO-OP defeated the Flamelurker, hopefully in DS2 you can intregrate you character into that game but with optimized stats and actually party system.

Does anyone have the Asian version and wouldn't mind playing with me?
