lol yeah. i didn't realize that until level 25 and finally found it out by reading the neogaf thread. enjoy

another tip is, don't accidently attack NPCs, like vendors, as you may lose them forever. I blame the mushy L2 button.

Yeah, I lost my vendor in 1-1 because of that.

Yeah, I lost my vendor in 1-1 because of that.

I accidentally hit the maiden in black when I was trying to talk to her...I imagine that would have been game over for me if I hit her more than once. x.o

I like a challenge, but I don't like unforgiving games. I'll probably get this game.

It's not that bad. It's definitely challenging in a fun way.

That's good, I don't like it when games are too easy, so if the game is a fun challenge I'll definitely get it eventually.

Haha, I hit the blacksmith once. He jumped up and tried to fight me!

Though he didn't actually hit me. He just glared at me while clenching his fists.

That's good, I don't like it when games are too easy, so if the game is a fun challenge I'll definitely get it eventually.

The game is rewarding in its difficulty.  It's not cheap.  I'd definitely recommend it if you want a challenge.

if you die again before you can recover your souls, they're gone forever. so the souls you lost fighting the red knight are gone because you died again.

also a tip for you guys. the non-demon souls you pick up (sorry if that's confusing) are supposed to be consumed for souls. Ie - "renowned hero's soul" ... "traditional soul" ... "unknown soldier's soul" etc give anywhere from 200 to over 10k souls. The only ones you DON'T want to consume is the demon's souls until you make sure it doesn't give something unique that you want as they can be traded for special magic among other things.

 

WHAT!?  i have so many of those things!

Geez.  I wonder how many souls I could get for 'em.  I'll use 'em all at once tomorrow and tally it up xD

Oh yeah, so i started 2-2 today. I dropped down a pitch black whole by jumping from plank to plank (boy was that nerve-racking) and got all the way to the boss on one run.

And geez, the Firelurker is tough! I managed to survive a good few minutes, but my attacks weren't dealing anything close to a decent amount of damage.

I need to figure out how to use the Fire Shield. It says I'm not strong enough to wield it with one hand effectively, so I guess I just need to keep upping my strength. That'll definitely help me out in all of 2.
