Can you kill the red dragon in 1-2 with soul arrow? My character isn't good with a bow...

Get the White Bow :) with White Arrows, or is that with the Soul Arrows??

@dli2k3  - 3.1 isn't too bad if you aren't caught by the bell ringers; then you are in trouble.  Watch there patterns and use dli2k3's trick with the ring. Or, surprise them with a piercing weapon such as the Winged Spear...

I tried with souls arrow, but it doesn't reach it.
I managed to kill it with around 75-100 arrows and no skills with bows.
My character is a Royal Melee Type. From what I've seen so far, Soul Arrow is overpowered or maybe spells in general. I killed the second boss (Knight) with ease using it only and I have not spent any points intelligence or magic. Most of my points are in Str, Vit and End.

No. You need precision(sniper) mode and manual aiming to kill the dragon.

However you don't have to be good with arrows to do the job. Just buy a lot of arrows from the blacksmith at Nexus (about 300).

If you stand on top of the tower and keep on plugging the dragon, it never detects you. Its also realy easy to aim coz its huge and comes and flies real close. Stand at the rightmost crenalation and fire away.

could you tell me whether Sony's Japan Studio is acknowledged at the beginning/end of the game?

Yes it is. One of the thing I found out in the NA version is that you can't skip the 4-5 acknoledgements. In the Asian version, you just press X a few times and you're on the main menu lol.

As for the main flayers in 3-1, the trick is to not get close to them. You can use a bow or soul arrow. I did it with soul arrows. Basically stop advancing as soon as you can target them. With a thief's ring they won't detect you. Then just fire away. Most of the time, they won't even be able to cast their spells without being interrupted by your soul arrows, but if you feel that what they cast might go through, then just roll to the side. their spells don't reach very far except for their own soul arrow. The advantage with 3-1 is that you can get the clever rat's ring and an estoc which is one of the best rapier weapon for people who like weapons that don't break shield guards (Me lol).

I killed the red drake using the short compound bow you find in 1.2.
it took about 90 arrows and my stats were exactly the minimum needed to equip the bow..
