You should never be in body form unless you're summoning friends or entering a boss area.
There are no other good reasons.

Use the Cling ring (or whatever the ring is called that lets you have 75% health) and always stay in soul form unless you want to play with people. Otherwise, prepare to be farmed.

summon blue phantoms for help.
the NPC black phantom at 3-1 is quite strong, it's kind of hard to fight him and a black phantom at the same time by yourself.

Yeah this is what I did. Lol.
It's time to confirm. Demons Souls is one of the best games I have EVER played. And I've been gaming since I was 3 years old (I'm almost 27).

Issue with staying in Soul form and using the Cling ring is that you waste a ring slot that could be better used if you played in body form..
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !
PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

10+ hours straight, nada.... wake up next morning, 1st try, got it (and start to wonder why wasting so much time before)
