Apparently it is fairly easy to treat... But the sensationalist media don't report on 'good' cures, because they are asses. They focus on the negative.

From what I read it doesn't respond to the two most common anti-flu chemicals, but it responds to two others, one of which is the famous Tamiflu which got stockpiled by several governments when the threat of H5N1 bird flu was imminent.

As I said the bad aspects get media coverage. If two anti-flu drugs don't work bith will get reported on. But if 100 work, one will be reported on. It's the nature of the beast I'm afraid.

I think that source says the exact opposite of what you said. Notice the bolded part:

"We've seen swine influenza in humans over the past several years, and in most cases, it's come from direct pig contact. This seems to be different," said Dr. Arnold Monto, a flu expert with the University of Michigan.

Swine flu is for pussies, like West Nile and bird flu.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I doubt anything severe is going to come out of this. I read about two students in British Columbia who got it (albeit, a minor case) after a visit in mexico, and they responded well to treatment and are recovering. All of those who got it so far in the US were treated and are fine. How many out of those who died in mexico had access to health care services? that's what I'd like to know.

obama trolls, lol

ot, yea its interesting. There's all this talk of having enough vaccine, but sure, wondering if it even works is the question.

Also makes you wonder about pig organs in human bodies, theres your connection right there.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

It's the end of time. The devil will probably be setting up a throne in Vegas any day now.

Scary, well the news is reporting that Australia has enough anti virals for about 50% of the pop. Scientists are currently working on a swine flu anti virus, so the question remains whether the current medicines are going to work.

Mad Cow disease in the UK,followed by bird flu from Asia and now swine(pig) flu from Mexico.
