Forums - Gaming - How much does Gamestop give for a used Wii and a used Xbox 360?

I only read the title because of that ridiculous wall of text, but here are two points:

1) I agree. PS3 should be your only console

2) gamestop will give you less. Gamestop is the devil. You would get more on Ebay

You might want to read the OP...

OT: Not much... might be less than 120 for the used 360

@dgc

number 2 proves that I read it. 's what makes it a joke :P

I would just go with calling ahead of time and ask.

As for how much they will give you, maybe $80 or something off.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

I perdict they give $100 for the X360 and $120 for the Wii.

twesterm you have seen the light if you are getting rid of your x360 no need to sugar coat it we understand lool

you are probably better of selling it at the amazon market place.

Whereas buy back value might be lower, trade-in value might be a lot better. Gamestop always offers special discounts toward certain purchases and whatnot upon a trade-in.

Definitely call, and try to haggle in a free membership or something. It gives 5 or 10% off used game purchases.

Just to make things clear-- I go to Gamestop because I consider their cheaper prices to include a convenience fee.

I don't want to ship anything, I don't want to worry about people paying up, I don't want to hear people bitching about whatever they could possibly bitch about, and I don't want to wait.

I realize I could get more at Amazon Marketplace, eBay, and Craig's List and I don't care.

And thanks for the advice yall, I'll end up calling them, I was just mainly worried about the HDMI thing.

I'm not an accountant, but I'm pretty sure that if you give them to charity, you should be able to deduct the value that GameStop *sells* the used consoles for. You would save 25-28% (depending on your tax bracket) of that value on your taxes.

Of course, going that route you won't actually see the money until you get your rebate next spring, but this way you get to help someone other than GameStop.

I think they give you 50% of what the console is worth and like 75 to 50% of what a game is worth.

I went to my local gamestop with 10 games once and they offered me 13 dollars for the lot of them...one game they offered a quarter.

He is selling his older 360 to get a new 360 with an HDMI port, not getting rid of it completely.

If you are going to respond please do so regarding the OP and help him out , rather than fanboy responses like "You are selling all your non PS3 consoles LOL" and "I agree you should only have a PS3"..........come on guys, did you even read what he was asking.

On topic: Used 360 with 20g HD, and (1) wireless controller is $98 store credit or - 20% for cash (from store credit amount). Used Wii with (1) controller is $130 store credit or - 20% for cash. The new arcades all have hdmi ports and (1) wireless controller.
