This is truly sad BHR-3 ......

Wat the hell is so sad im asking for 360 owners to post games that they think can bump HW or poteintially sell over 2.5 mill the Nintendo guys had no promblem doing it or promblems with the thread

if u dont have any input for a thread dont post in it

You know exactly what you're doing as others have pointed out in this thread, why don't you come back any make this thread after E3 if you dare.

is there giong to be that many games announced in july that nobodys knows about that will come out in 09?  90% of the 09 game release dates should be known by now no?

Yep about three or four I believe. Two are the secret games from Rare.

I'm extremely doubtful we'll be getting any more than one big game from Rare this year, if even that. Let's take a look at their development history so far this gen.

2005
November - Perfect Dark Zero (Xbox 360)
November - Kameo: Elements of Power (Xbox 360)

2006
November - Viva Pinata (Xbox 360)

2007
February - Diddy Kong Racing DS (Nintendo DS)
March - Jetpac Refulled (Xbox Live Arcade)

2008
September - Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise (Xbox 360)
September - Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise (Nintendo DS)
November - Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (Xbox 360)

In early 2007, it was stated that Rare was made up of about 200 employees. That number is almost certainly reduced now with the recently announced restructuring at the studio and the subsequent job cuts that followed. Now a studio of about 200 can usually only be working on three big games simultaniously, and Rare's release history affirms this. In 2005 they released two big games with Perfect Dark and Kameo and released Viva Pinata a year later. All three of these games were in development for a number of years. We know that the same team that did Viva Pinata did Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise which took them at least two years to develop after the first. It's pretty much guaranteed that we won't be seeing anything from this particular section of Rare. I like to assume that Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts was developed by the same section as Kameo. If that's true then we can also assume that we won't be seeing anything from that studio given the three year gap between releases. So at the absolute most we'll be seeing a game from the Perfect Dark section of Rare.

My guess is that two games will be announced from Rare this year at E3. A new Perfect Dark that will release late this year, and a new Killer Instinct that will release late next year.

Xbox 360 (as well as the Wii and PS3) is now in a sales status where no single game will really make much of a impact. Sure maybe a game will push a couple of 100K, but nothing huge. It is all about libraries and word of mouth now. 360 really has entered the stage where someone that has been holding out can easily justify spending $200 to jump in. By Christmas that price may be reduced to $150 and will really be easy for impulse purchases.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Of all the games people listed, in terms of 2009, I only see Halo: ODST and Alan Wake moving hardware. (assuming the latter releases in 2009)

The listing of the multi-platform games is near negligible because they are MP. Also, with games like MW2 and AC2, I imagine most of the base for that crowd already owns a system. I have similar sentiments about Forza 3.

As for games like Risen or "untitled future game", way too early to tell. It would be best to make this thread after E3.

We don't even know when the games will come out. Wait until E3. Microsoft said they have a lot of surprises.

halo 3 launch week bumped 360 weekly sale to 230k ww. coming from 165k the week before, then it went to 200k then back down to 179k.

so if hAlo 3 bumped 360 70k approx more weekly, i highly doubt halo odst will bump as much in % as its not halo 4, its an add on style game.

out of all the games that will bump hw for the week id pick between huxley and risen.

Alan Wake will likely push some HW after it blows everyone away at E3. This game is gonna be a major surprise in terms of graphics as well as quality. It will own 2009.
