I'm just tired of people who come here predicting insane and unrealistic numbers and I'm just telling facts that GT5 won't outsell Halo 3 and won't come close to reach 10M LTD that's all. Now when I see people like skeeuk who claim that it will reach ''15millions+'' without any facts or even arguments I have to laugh. Sorry.

 

You don't need to explain yourself mate, some people just can't hack seeing the truth so have to question it until they think they have got their point across.

 

 

 

What truth would that be, seece?

 

That GT5 won't beat Halo 3, that it won't get 15 million ... I dunno you tell me :-S

well i just checked and gt3 launched when ps2 was at roughly 12-14 million

gt3 was the 1st gt on a new nex gen system during that time. i feel gt5 will be even more anticipated by gamers and will sell in terrific numbers in all reigons.

those who want the game will deffo buy it straight away, the rest of the sales will come over the lifetime of the console.

heres a good example, halo 2 sold over 8 million lifetime with a 25million install base. and halo 3 has sold more than that with a near 30 million install base.

so can it be possible that gt5 can sell as much as gt3 if not more lifetime?

You miss my point, GT3 sold well during its life because PS2's were flying off the shelves and eventually got to an install base of 120+ million.

Lots of potential GT3 buyers there .. the same cannot be said for the PS3. Because its going to be a stretch to reach 80 million.

PS3 is cut down to $299 and bundled with GT5
They actually make good commercials for GT5
the economy goes up making people more likely to buy a PS3
and of course there has to be a fan base (which there already is)
However it is obvious that Gt5 will be one of the PS3's best selling game

My predictions
lifetime sales on PS3 for....
Final Fantasy XIII- 9-12 million copies
God of War III- 4-9 million copies
GT5- 8-13 million copies

GoW? Good god! 4-9M is only 150%-400% what the last one sold.

PS2 also sold 140+ Million.....PS3 is less than 25 Million right now after 2 1/2 yrs of being out.
