Forums - Nintendo - Wii sales stabilize in Japan!

Sales for Nintendo Co.'s Wii stabilized in the latest weekly retail data from Japan.

Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Wii sold 13,221 units between Apr. 13 and Apr. 19.

By comparison, the hardware sold 13,349 units the week prior.

Wii ranked one title in the top 10, Hudson Co.'s Deca Sports 2 at No. 10.

The hardware ranked fourth in overall sales for the week.

Nintendo Co. in Apr. said that it does not plan to price cut the Wii or Nintendo DS to boost sales.

Nintendo this month released the Nintendo DSi, an updated version of the best-selling Nintendo DS.

It will sell the Wii MotionPlus accessory in June and the follow-up Wii Sports Resort in July.

Nintendo in Mar. said that the Wii has shipped 50 million units worldwide.
